FALLOUT IS THE WINNING IP OF THE LUCCA COMICS & GAMES JOE DEVER AWARD<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Joe Dever Award jury honored Fallout with the prize for the best transmedia IP in fantasy for the year 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The award was presented on the stage of the Teatro del Giglio during the festival’s awards evening.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the wins of Stranger Things<\/strong> (2017, Netflix), World of Warcraft – Battle for Azeroth<\/strong> (2018, Blizzard Entertainment), Marvel Cinematic Universe<\/strong> (2019, Disney), Super Mario 35th Anniversary <\/strong>(2020, Nintendo), Dune: Imperium<\/strong> (2021, Asmodee), Cyberpunk: Edgerunners<\/strong> (2022, Need Games\/CD Projekt) and Assassin’s Creed<\/strong> (2023, Ubisoft), it is FALLOUT<\/strong>, the renowned video game saga and new post apocalyptic TV series, that clinches the Joe Dever Award 2024 at Lucca Comics & Games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Established in 2017 to honor the memory of Joe Dever (1956 – 2016), the author of renowned game books such as Lone Wolf<\/strong>, this award recognizes the best transmedia IP in fantasy<\/strong>, celebrating the fusion of various media forms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since its inception in 1997, Fallout has portrayed a dystopian post-nuclear future and evolved into one of pop culture’s most iconic franchises. Over more than two decades and numerous video game titles, the saga has now expanded into a TV series, captivating a broader audience and maintaining interest in its devastated yet intriguing world. The franchise has managed to maintain its unique identity, mixing elements of science fiction, black humour and social critique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Winning the Joe Dever Award represents recognition of the vast universe created by Bethesda,\u2019 said jury president Paolo Cupola. \u2018Between video games, novels, comics and now the TV series, Fallout continues to surprise and engage generations of fans.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accepting the award on behalf of Bethesda were Stefania Fiorese (Community Manager Bethesda Italy) and Bart Verwijst (Communications Manager Bethesda ZEL).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2024 the Award Coordinator is Alessandro Stanchi, the President Paolo Cupola and the jury was composed of Fabio Viola, Cristina Scabbia and Giulio Lughi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
